The prices on some items may include shipping charges – this will be clearly stated within the product description. From time to time, we may also run promotions to include free shipping on certain items – again, this will be clearly stated within the product description.
With the exceptions mentioned above, charges are as follows per order:
Small items/accessories (generally sent in the post) – £3.99
Medium items (sent either by post or courier) – £6.25
Larger items and accessories (generally sent by courier) – £8.99
Very large/bulky items items (sent by courier) – £19.99
If you’d prefer to collect from us (we’re 10 miles south of Birmingham, 15 miles north of Stratford-upon-Avon, close to Junction 4 of the M42 motorway), this can usually be arranged but please contact us first to make the arrangements and check availability.
Shipping charges are for mainland UK only. Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Channel Islands, and some parts of the Scottish Highlands and Islands may attract additional shipping fees – we’ll let you know immediately if this is the case for your order!
We try to use to most cost effective shipping method for your order. Small items and accessories are generally sent by Royal Mail. Larger items are generally sent by courier – we use both myHermes and UK Mail (www.iPostParcels.com), however, we sometimes use other couriers depending on the items and your location.
Shipping outside the UK
We’re very happy to ship to other countries, but it is expensive! Complete compost toilets are both bulky and heavy, so therefore not cheap to send! Countries like Ireland, France, Belgium and Holland tend not to be too bad, but the further away you go, the more it will cost. If you’re interested in a quote on shipping, please get in contact and let us have your full address – we’ll get back with a price as soon as we can.
How quick is delivery?
It depends on whether we have the stock in our warehouse or not. Items we hold in stock are usually dispatched within 48 hours or so of us receiving your order and will go out on a courier delivery or standard post (depending on the size). Non-stock items may have to come in from the manufacturer or distributor and may take a little longer. If you need something very quickly, please call or email us.
What packing materials do you use?
Packing is a fine balance between not wanting to add weight or bulk to a product (which may increase the delivery costs), not wanting to use ‘virgin’ packing materials (which are ultimately thrown away or recycled), and making sure the product arrives safely and securely. Wherever possible, we use the minimum amount of packing materials to ensure safe transit, in others, we will always try to recycle old boxes or use what we have to hand. In some cases, we may have to use ‘new’ packaging materials, but we try to avoid this wherever possible.
