Our Privacy Policies

The Little House Co is committed to protecting your privacy. We only collect information on you that is needed to process your order or to enable us to contact you if you have requested that option.

We will not contact you by email, other than transactional emails (ie information on the processing of your order),  unless you have specifically requested us to, or where you have explicitly agreed to sign up for our email newsletter.

Our email newsletter has an opt-in confirmation so you will not be subscribed unless you specifically agree. On each newsletter, there will be clear ‘unsubscribe’ information which is immediately effective.

We do not share your information with any other 3rd parties, unless they are needed to complete a delivery (for example, we may pass on your telephone number or email to our courier company so they could contact you regarding a delivery if necessary). If you do not wish this information to be passed onto the courier etc, please let us know.

We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties except where required by our payment processor.

Product Images & Descriptions

Photos, images and other representations are indicative only and not necessarily of the actual product supplied. We endeavour to ensure everything is up to date, however, manufacturers can make revisions from time to time. You should therefore take reasonable steps to ensure the product is suitable for the purpose intended. All products are subject to availability. Prices do not include shipping/delivery charge unless specifically indicated.

Incorrect Information Provided by the Customer

We are not responsible for any additional costs or inconvenience incurred due to incorrect information provided by the customer, such as address or post code. If a parcel has to be re-delivered due to a customer providing incorrect information then any costs associated with the re-delivery must be met by the customer.

Refund / Cancellation of  Order

For ‘consumers’, we abide by the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations which means ‘consumers’ have the right to return an item, provided it is unused and returned in the same condition it was sent out, by informing us within 14 working days, commencing the day after delivery. The cost and safety of returning the item is due to the customer. Custom made products and ‘special orders’ cannot be returned unless faulty.

We will refund your payment within 30 days, although usually within 48 hours. In the first instance, please contact us via email or letter if you wish to make a return.

If your purchase was made as a business (as opposed to a consumer), returns are subject to our discretion and will incur a restocking fee. Please contact us via email if you wish to make a return. We define a business to be where the billing address contains a business name and/or the billing address is not generally considered a residential building.

Due to the nature of some of the products we supply (for hygiene reasons), we regret that we may be unable to offer a refund (partial or otherwise) if the goods have been installed or used in any way.

Delivery Times & Costs

For information on delivery times etc, please see our delivery and shipping information page. For some delivery addresses (off-shore and Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland) there may be an additional charge for courier delivery (depending on the item you have ordered) – if this is the case, we will contact you within 1 working day of receipt of your order to discuss. If you do not agree to any additional charges, you have the right to cancel your order and obtain a refund.

Warranty & Faulty Products

We warrant that all products supplied will be of satisfactory quality for a period of 12 months from the date of delivery (except for certain consumable products which are designed to have a shorter use). Certain products may have additional benefits and timeframes, provided by the manufacturer.

If you think you have received a faulty product, please contact us by email within 7 days. The cost of returning a product, where a fault or damage is discovered on delivery, or within 14 days of delivery, is covered by The Little House Company provided you have used a previously agreed method. After this time period, the cost of returning items is paid by the customer.

The Little House Company shall be under no liability to the customer for any loss, damage, costs, expenses or other claims in respect of any defect arising from any fault of the customer, in respect of any defect arising from wilful damage, negligence, failure to follow instructions for the use of the Products (whether oral or in writing), misuse or alteration of the Products without our approval.

The Little House Company shall have no liability for loss of profit or for any indirect, special or consequential loss of damage, costs, expenses or other claims for compensation whatsoever arising out of or in connection with the supply, non-supply or fault of the Products (including any delay in supplying the Products) or their use or resale by you. The entire liability arising out of any order for Products from you will be limited to the total price of the Products ordered by you.
